Festival hair

All the festival hair inspo, whether your gig’s going ahead or you’re living it up in the gardenLast year festivals were #cancelled. This year, some are happening, some are postponed and some are still on the fence. But festival spirit – good tunes, good vibes, good company and especially-good hair – has never felt more necessary than now. We’ve been starved of our social lives but we’re ready to get back on the circuit.

Whatever your plans are, whether you're heading to a big festival, a laid-back gig or are just blasting bops with your mates down the park, one thing we’ve really missed is getting ready to go out-out.This presents a great opportunity. Alongside the denim cut-offs, body suits and boho dresses that haven't left their ASOS bags since we ordered them last spring, it's about time we upped the ante on our glam, too.

Festival hair is synonymous with summer and sunshine. Experimental braids and fresh twists on twists, space buns to keep your hair off your face, French plaits to make third-day hair look deliberate, topknots sprinkled in glitter and plaits laced with loops (hair rings happen to be our favourite hair accessory this summer).

"It's all about the accessories this year, really into using decorative slides, silk scarfs and rings to elevate a style, whether that be something simple like loose waves, or an architectural One style to definitely have on your radar is bubble braids. They're super duper easy to achieve, take no time at all to create and look cool, laid back and interesting. We've seen them dominate the red carpet this year and we reckon they'll claim this summer's social gatherings too. Also on top are knotless braids, which look just as effective, but place way less stress on scalps.
